Amy Johnson Mollison Record Setting Aviation Pioneer Signed Letter 1933''Rare'
Amy Johnson Mollison [1903 1941] was a pioneering English aviator who flew both solo and with her husband Jim Mollison and set numerous long-distance records during the 1930’s. During World War II, she helped the war effort as part of the Air Transport Auxiliary when she was killed in a crash on January 5, 1941. The letter is a thank you response and the autograph is signed”Amy Mollison” in black fountain pen. Interesting to note, Amy states in her letter”We are almost fit again”. In July of 1933, she and her husband crashed in Connecticut while attempting a record flight, the letter would have been sent while she was recuperating from her crash. The autograph is authentic, uncommon to obtain and will be a desirable addition to any aviation collection. We have listed a nice collection of military, aviation and astronaut autographs.
